The Anarchist’s Mobile Library

8 August 2021

‘The Anarchist’s Mobile Library’ will take you on an incredible adventure that YOU choose, solving problems and meeting characters, all in a retro, pop-up caravan!

With six different worlds to explore, where will you choose to journey to? Perhaps an intergalactic space adventure? Or a deep-sea swim, meeting creatures that lurk in the depths? Or even an abandoned witch’s kitchen, with the cauldron bubbling away?

Tessa Bide Productions have created a show to empower children to be masters of their own destinies, to be inspired by literature and to change the stories they see unfolding around them.

  • This a FREE Event
  • The target audience is 5-10, but it’s suitable for some younger children.
  • For parents of younger children: There are some loud noises and moments of darkness… but nothing too scary!
  •  If there must be an upper limit, we say 11 but the material works well with older audiences too due to its universal nature.
  • The show runs for 15 minutes with no interval
  • We have supporting materials for children with ASD – timelines and social stories

Location: Roman Town House, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester DT1 1XJ

Tessa Bide Productions are an award-winning theatre company directed by Tessa Bide. We create theatre for children which unites families, offering an engaging and stimulating theatrical experience for both adults and children. You might meet us in a traditional theatre setting or in the middle of a field. We aim to inspire communities who may not have access to the theatre with topical stories, bold physical language and a few puppets along the way. Tessa Bide Productions put children at the heart of our work, from devising through to presentation. We encourage creativity, inclusive play and a sense of adventure.
