Regular, recurring donations give us certainty to plan.

£5 per month buys materials for half a term of primary school art sessions

£20 per month means we could book a specialist to lead hands-on activities in fine art, literature, archaeology or geology to inspire senior school pupils

£30 per month enables us to offer a series of workshops for people with mental health issues

£50 per month buys specialist conservation expertise

£100 per month allows us to arrange major loans from other museums for special exhibitions

Gift Aid enables charities like the Museum to claim back from HMRC tax paid by the donor. It can add 25% to the value of your donation, at no additional cost to you.

By agreeing to us claiming Gift Aid on your donation, you will enhance your donation by 25% at no additional cost to yourself. For example:

A gift of £10 becomes £12.50 to the Museum

A gift of £100 becomes £125 to the Museum

A gift of £1,000 becomes £1,250 to the Museum

You will be asked to agree to a Gift Aid declaration, confirming that you pay tax on income at least equivalent to your gift. The Museum then manages the claim – you don’t have to do a thing! But, if you are a higher or additional rate taxpayer, you will be able to claim back the difference between your nominal rate and the basic rate on your donation through your tax return.
