We are currently undertaking a community quilt project in relation to Antje Rook’s “A virus a day” quilt which was on display in the community centre and to celebrate one year’s opening of Dorset museum.

The idea is for staff, volunteers, community groups and members of the public to create a square 10 cm x 10cm with a slightly larger edge for sewing purposes.

Quilt pieces are be in natural colours using any textile, embroidery or quilting techniques based on some aspect of the museum/ history of Dorchester – the collection or building for example.

Completed squares can be brought to the museum and we will be collecting these over the next few months.
