Reimagining Roundhouses | Trevor Creighton

25 July 2024, 7:00pm - 8:30pm

In this special lecture for the 2024 Festival of Archaeology, Trevor Creighton will discuss the way in which we have come to form our ideas of what late prehistoric roundhouses were like, and why we need to reimagine them. Trevor will draw upon examples of Dorset roundhouses in his discussion.

Trevor Crieghton is the Project Archaeologist at Butser Ancient Farm, an archaeological open-air museum and experimental archaeological site in the south of England. His work primarily involves the conception and development of experimental construction projects, including buildings, mosaics, and ancillary structures. He also helps to publish and publicise Butser’s work.
