Lifeline Grant
October 12, 2020
Dorset Museum is one of 1,385 cultural and creative organisations across the country receiving urgently needed support.
£257 million of investment has been announced today as part of the very first round of the Culture Recovery Fund grants programme being administered by Arts Council England. Further rounds of funding in the cultural and heritage sector are due to be announced over the coming weeks.
We have been awarded a total of £213,121 from the fund to help deliver the Tomorrow’s Museum for Dorset project, which as a consequence of the Covid_19 pandemic has been delayed until 2021, and to support the ongoing viability of the Museum.
“This has come as a vital lifeline for the future of our museum and is another positive step forward in delivering a first-class museum experience that everyone in Dorset will be very proud of. “ Director of Dorset Museum, Dr Jon Murden said.
